Scheduled - MidChains would like to inform you of the upcoming Bitcoin Block Reward Halving Event (“Bitcoin Halving”).

Bitcoin halving is a pre-programmed and crucial event where the reward for mining new blocks is halved, ultimately reducing the rate at which new Bitcoins are released into circulation, until the total supply of 21 million is fully mined. Currently, the Bitcoin block reward is 6.25 BTC per block. The block reward will drop to 3.125 BTC per block when block height reaches 840,000.

This event occurs approximately every four years or every 210,000 blocks and is estimated to occur on April 20, 2024 upon reaching block height 840,000. Kindly note that the actual date and time may vary due to processing times of the blockchain.

We would like to reassure you that our platform will remain fully operational. Your existing Bitcoin holdings with us will remain unchanged and you can continue to conduct transactions seamlessly, including deposits, withdrawals and trading, particularly for BTC and BTCUSD pairs.

MidChains will continue to monitor the blockchain network and will take necessary measures to ensure the smooth operation of our platform. We shall provide further updates as needed.
